Homecare was founded by directors Mairead and Gerald Mackle in 1994, and was originally situated on Moy Road, Armagh.  In 1997 the head office was relocated to Callan House, Milford, Co. Armagh.  Callan House was formally known as R G McCrum Institiute.

Homecare Housing was formed in 1998 and has continually expanded and improved the services it provides to vulnerable individuals in the community.  This project continues to offer creative solutions to the changing needs of vulnerable people.  Homecare Housing has continually sought to diversify in order to address areas of unmet need and as a result has established over one hundred and fifty self-contained units for vulnerable families.

On 1st April 2003, the government launched the Supporting People programme.  The programme is committed to providing a better quality of life for vulnerable people to live more independently through the provision of housing related support services.

Homecare Support Services was developed in response to this initiative and now works alongside Homecare Housing to help smooth the transition to independent living for those who are vulnerable in the community.      ch8p10.jpg

With the continued growth of the company, and our close proximately to the South of Ireland, it was a natural progression that we explore the Southern market.  It soon became evident that there was a need for our services in the South.  In 2006 Homecare began working within the North Eastern Region of the country.  In 2007 we opened our first office in the south of Ireland in Seatown Place, Dundalk, Co. Louth.
