About Us
Developed in April 2007, Homecare’s training department was initially established to assist our staff with the training and tools they required to effectively carry out tasks to a high level of quality care. We wanted to ensure all of our service users were well looked after in the comfort of their own homes and family environment.
Our Training Manager
Our Training Manager, Tracey Wood, has over 20 years experience in the Health and Social Care Sector. She has occupied a range of positions within Homecare across a period of 8 years, and has held the post of Training Manager for over three years.
Having spent the early years of her career in frontline service delivery, she has a passion for equipping staff with the skills and competency required to deliver excellent health care services. She achieves this by promoting service user focused delivery and tailoring her training packages to the needs of each individual trainee.
She specialises in the delivery of manual handling, dementia, medication and effective communication training, alongside a wide range of induction and personal development courses. Tracey is trained to level 4 PTTLS and has undertaken a range of Train the Trainer courses within the caring industry, including: Dementia Training and Palliative Care. She is currently completing Train the Trainer FETAC level 6.
